At the end of the year it’s normal to reflect on the past 12 months, and to make plans for the next year.
On 21st December we came together in our new London office, and all offered our feedback and our concerns. We are growing rapidly and as with any growth we need to be prudent in our planning, and resourcing.
The last 30 years has been built on our reputation in providing an outstanding service to clients, wherever they are, however big or small, we’ve not let a client down. In order to maintain that reputation as we grow, we are diligent in our research as to how best serve our current client base whilst, in no way, compromising their delivery. We also need to provide the same personal service to our new clients and ensure that they enjoy the “DCE experience” we are renowned for.
This was our footprint for 2016, with over 300 build environments delivered at airports, sporting venues, and of course exhibition halls. Seeing this years work illustrated on the map was an impressive representation of our collective team effort.
So where is 2017 taking us as a company, and us as an industry? 90% of our customers come back year on year, and as they grow – we grow.
Having expanded our internal sales, marketing and business development team during the year, we are beginning to open more doors and build a respected online presence. Our team of contractors are exceptional tradesmen and a valuable asset to DCE. We’ve forged strong relationships, and continue to bring onboard exceptional craftsmen to support our core team across the globe.
Our excellence in compliance underpins our work, and none so prevalent as in Airports where the regulation manual is inches deep. We are therefore confident to present our credentials to retail brands that are considering a duty free environment and assure our clients of the smooth delivery of their experiential environment.
During 2016 we managed to establish a foothold in sports stadiums – enjoying installations at cricket, football, rugby and tennis grounds, and is something we are keen to focus and build during 2017.
As an industry there is a steady step forward in technology to ensure that any brand has a cohesive and integrated communication presence to promote their message. IOT technologies will play a large part in this and we are only just beginning to understand the impact of such vision. Be sure more information will follow as we understand that positive impact.
What we now know is that with 26 years under our belt, we have not needed to tighten the reins but expand them. We have listened to our clients, grown with them, and have become thought leaders in our industry.
Fresh minds, new branding and clear thinking will catapult us into 2017, and we look forward to working with you.
