Our relationship with Cannes, and therefore the Palais, is longstanding. Throughout DCE Group’s history there is a link to this iconic and prestigious venue, and one that we are proud to service.
The first Palais des Festivals et des Congrès was built in 1949 to host the Cannes Film Festival and, in response to the growing success of the festival, and other business conventions such as MIPTV (1965), a new Palais was constructed in 1979, with the doors opening for business in 1982.
In 1999 there was further expansion with the construction of the Espace Riviera, which provided a further 10,000 square metres of space for exhibitors.
The venue draws footfall from Europe easily, with good connections from all major airports and easy commuting to the venue. It’s particularly popular for brands in the duty free market, with TFWA being held here year on year, and brands from all over the world make this a focal point for their marketing.
Such was our involvement in those early Exhibitions at the Palais, we opened our own facilities 18 years ago. Just a stone’s throw from the main exhibition centre, this facility enables our clients to have a swift response to our services, and useful storage between exhibitions.
Cannes, holds a special place in our hearts. We’re known by the venue organisers, and have relationships with French Speaking sub-contractors and suppliers, to ensure that our clients receive the best of all services.
